Expressing oneself through painting is a “code of communication” among people that is narrative. We express ourselves through the language of painting before we learn to write. It is a living language. All of us can draw as we all learn to write.
With the completion of the first series of the Art Therapy Workshops organized by the “Woman’s Center” of the Municipality Of Agia Paraskevi the members of the group took part in a collective art exhibition on 31.5.2017, with the title “Woman inside and out”, presenting their own works of art. The participants paved a new way of expression through creativity.
“Knowing thyself” (gnothi sauton) is the actual getting to knowing ourselves. Its true essence lies in caring for the soul, self-awareness, awareness of our skills, abilities and potential. It helps us understand the way we could act in order to gain the real self-awareness.
